The Pharaohs Nile Egypt tour is an upscale program featuring 5* hotels and a deluxe 5* Nile cruise making this Egypt tour fun, relaxing and educational.

Tours of Egypt should be relaxing and our Egypt tours are fully escorted from your arrival to Cairo. You can relax knowing the details are taken care of, allowing you to enjoy the experience carefree.

As part of a small group for this visit to Egypt, you will not be herded around, thus allowing the time to absorb and experience the history of the Pharaohs Nile.

Highlights include visits in Cairo to the Giza plateau, featuring the Great Pyramid and Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum of antiquities where you will marvel at King Tut's treasures plus Sakkarra with the famous stepped pyramid and Dahshur with the first of the stone pyramids. Old Cairo with it's famous churches and synagogue and the Citadel of Salah el Din, bane of the crusaders. In Luxor you will see Karnak and Luxor temples on the East bank of the Nile. Visiting the Necropolis of Thebes on the Western bank of the Nile you will visit the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut's temple, the Colossi of Memnon and more. In Aswan the high dam, the temple of Philae, the Pharaohs granite quarries, the Nubian Museum and Elephantine Island are all included. All costs associated with these visits including transportation, entry fees, guide, service charges and taxes are already included in the tour price.

Your hotels are first class and you will enjoy the comfort of superior or deluxe rooms. On the cruise your cabin will be located on the upper decks where you will have panoramic views of the Nile. Included meals are giant international buffets with breakfast daily plus lunch and dinner while on the cruise.

The Program:

Day 01 (Saturday) Arrive Cairo, clear immigration and customs then staff will transfer you to the Le Meridien Pyramids hotel. Overnight Cairo
OPTIONAL sound and light show at the pyramids ($40 per person)

VISAS: All travelers to Egypt must have a visa. Citizens of most countries can obtain one on arrival. Please let us know what passport you are traveling with and we will confirm whether you can get your’s on arrival.

Day 02 (Sunday) Enjoy an international buffet breakfast and check out before starting the day at the Pyramids at Giza, home of the 7th wonder of the world, the Great Pyramid and the inscrutable Sphinx. Staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Luxor. Arriving staff transfers you to the Sonesta Luxor Hotel. Overnight Luxor (B)
Optional: Sound and Light show at Karnak Temple $40 per person

Day 03 (Monday) International buffet breakfast, check out, Staff will meet you for transfer to your Deluxe Five Star Nile Cruiser, the M/S Royal Viking or M/S Amarco. Lunch on board then visit the East Bank of Luxor including the Temple of Luxor and Temple of Karnak. Overnight Luxor (B, L, D)
Optional Tour of West bank sites not included in cruise: $95 per person (includes the Valley of the Queens, the tombs of the nobles and artisans, Medinet Habu, Ramessium, temple of Seti 1)

Day 04 (Tuesday) Breakfast, then visit the West Bank of Luxor including the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the ship for Lunch while sailing to Esna, cross the river lock, continue sailing to Edfu. Dinner. Overnight Edfu. (B, L, D)

Day 05 (Wednesday) Breakfast followed by a visit to the Temple of Horus in Edfu. After touring return to the ship for lunch while sailing to Kom Ombo. Upon arrival in Kom Ombo visit the Temple of Two Gods. Dinner while sailing to Aswan. Overnight Aswan (B, L, D)

Day 06 (Thursday) Breakfast then visit the Aswan High Dam, the Granite Quarries with the unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae. Lunch on board then in the afternoon FREE BONUS: Sail on the Nile by Felucca (native sailboat). (Please note that these boats are solely wind powered, if there is no wind this will not operate). Dinner on board. Overnight Aswan (B, L, D)
NOTE: Optional excursion to Abu Simbel including transfers, flights, guide, entry fees, service charges and taxes $250 per person. (This is a morning excursion so if you go you will visit the antiquity sites in Aswan upon your return, then enjoy the Felucca)

Day 07 (Friday) Disembark the cruise after your buffet breakfast. Staff transfers you to the Movenpick Elephantine Island Resort or the Iberotel Nile resort. Afternoon visit to the Nubian Museum, a world class presentation of Nubia's culture and history plus the famous Aswan spice market. Overnight Aswan (B)
NOTE: Optional tour to St. Simeon's Monastery: Travel by motor launch to the West Bank to board your ship of the desert (camel) for a short ride to St. Simeon's Monastery ruins. $60 per person (If you select the camel trek you will do this in the morning, then check in at the hotel and in the afternoon visit the Nubian museum and spice market).

Day 08 (Saturday) After your buffet breakfast staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Cairo. Arriving enjoy a tour of the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities featuring King Tut’s treasures. Staff will transfer you to the Marriott Hotel. Overnight Cairo (B)

Day 09 (Sunday) Buffet breakfast then a visit to Memphis, (the ancient capital), Sakkarra with the Stepped Pyramid and Dahshur, with it's famous Bent and Red Pyramids plus the new Imhotep museum. Overnight Cairo (B)

Day 10 (Monday) After your buffet breakfast enjoy a tour of Old Cairo with it's famous churches and synagogue plus the Citadel of Salah el Din, bane of the crusaders and the Alabaster Mosque. Visit the Khan el Khalili bazaar where travelers have been finding bargains since the middle ages. Overnight Cairo (B)

Day 11 (Tuesday) Staff will transfer you to the airport, assist with exit formalities and checking in for your international departure.

TOURS INCLUDE: OPERATES WITH NO MINIMUM AND A MAXIMUM OF 16 TRAVELERS. Domestic flights in Egypt in coach (economy) class. All transfers by air-conditioned vehicle relating to the tour program starting with arrival to Cairo. Baggage handling of no more than 1 piece of luggage per person however baggage and personal effects are at the owner's risk at all time during the tour (baggage handling does NOT include tips for bellmen, porters, etc.). Hotels (based on double occupancy). 5 star Deluxe Nile cruise with outside Nile view cabin, private bath, individual climate control. Meals as outlined by B for breakfast, L for lunch and D for dinner. Fees for visiting antiquity sites and museums. Services of an English speaking licensed Egyptologist. Service charges and taxes.
NOTE: During any of our small group tours people may join or leave at various times, however at no time would any group be larger than 16 travelers. We can provide private tours with an additional supplement. The cost depends on the tour chosen.

NOT included are: INTERNATIONAL AIR, Air ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, items of a personal nature such as tips (tipping guideline), entry visa (available at the airport on entry for USA citizens. Other nationalities should check with the nearest Egyptian consulate), phone calls, laundry, beverages, any items not specifically covered in the included items.

Single Price is for Single occupancy hotel rooms and cruise cabins based on a minimum of two travelers. Single travelers (one person on the tour) would have additional cost.

FREQUENT TRAVELERS: You are welcome to arrange your own international air or we can assist if you are departing from the USA. Also if you are a member of any hotel chain frequent traveler program you are welcome to use your points for hotel rooms and the cost of the tour will be reduced accordingly OR if you want to accumulate points plus take advantage of membership hotel room upgrades let us know which program you want to use.
